Did You Know That Menopause Has an Economic Impact?
In my last blog post, I talked about my anxiety attacks during menopause and
how they made me late to work on many occasions. Thankfully, I work with
incredible people at a phenomenal organization, so my tardiness never turned
into HR or performance issues that could have affected my job security.
Beyond well-known symptoms like anxiety, hot flashes, brain fog, and
insomnia, menopause can also increase the risk of other serious health
conditions—including stroke and osteoporosis. These challenges don’t just
affect our health but also our productivity at work, potentially leading to
economic consequences.
AARP conducted a study on the impact of menopause in the workplace,
revealing how these symptoms influence work performance and financial
stability. You can check out the full results here: AARP Study
And remember, we are in this together. I’d love to hear your story—how has
menopause affected your life? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
