My colleague's POV on menopause

 Hi All

I continue to talk about menopause with other women because each of us has a unique experience. Hearing from others helps reassure all women that we are not alone, and any suffering we endure is real and not a product of our imagination. Below is a testimonial from a colleague who is not on social media.

"I started perimenopause in my late forties. I had no physical symptoms but was evaluated and informed that way. Menopause started in my early fifties. I did have hot flashes, which were not only unusual for me to be a thin person, but also extremely uncomfortable. There were also changes with my hair, skin, and nails. All became a bit more brittle and required different care. I changed my eating habits / times and started a regimen of vitamin supplements that I still maintain. Sleep/wake patterns changed for me too. Insomnia remains with me today"!
