Sleep Better During Menopause: Tips for a Restful Night

As I mentioned before, while in my menopause phase, I couldn’t sleep. Of course, I didn’t know at the time the insomnia was a symptom of menopause, and I probably dealt with it in an unconventional way. I will watch TV from the reclining chair in the room, until I start to doze.

Why the chair and not the comfort of my bed? In case you are wondering, because I was uncomfortable on the bed and would be taking and turning. More than that, I didn’t want to disturb my husband whose alarm clock goes off at 4:30am for work. That would have been inconsiderate.

Was your sleep affected during perimenopause and menopause and how did you deal with it?

I will talk to my friends about their symptoms and share some of their experiences in my next blog post.
